About me
Roman was born in Chisinau, Moldova. After studying traditional, classical and jazz saxophone since the age of six, he left home for university at the age of 19 going to Bucharest, meanwhile traveling the world, discovering new cultures, and ultimately defining his own sound and melodic language..
He composes and plays a varied repertoire from house and electro-funk to chill-out and ambient music. Constantly innovating and redefining the boundaries between musical genres, Roman’s music evolves as he searches for equilibrium among past, present and future, concrete and abstract, acoustic and electronic, classical or modern.
A unique sound ranging from house to ambient music, Roman writes music for saxophone and performs an improvised show where he combines his own experimental sound with electronic music, getting the perfect touch with the people around him.
Roman developed his unique sound and technique over more than two decades of playing and performing with well-known artists, DJs and producers in clubs throughout many countries.
Travel
Well, as you might know, being a resident saxophone player at Cala Bassa Beach Club since 2020, I go to Ibiza to perform.
CBbC is a very classy and beautiful restaurant and beach club that becomes the best place to chill and listen to the music in the afternoon hours.
I had the chance to meet people all around the world right there, feeling that my style of performing is highly appreciated and delighted by everybody.
The island itself is magical, therefore every week when I come there, it always becomes a sort of holidays for me. I truly enjoy nature! Staying there I recharge myself for the rest of the year.
Musically speaking I enjoy a lot doing this, even though I prefer bigger stages and louder sound!
